Coalescing Mist Filters

Designed to merge fine mist droplets into larger droplets, which then can be easily separated. Coalescing filters typically consist of layers of specialised media that promote the coalescence of small droplets. The coalesced droplets then drain down and are collected in a reservoir.

Electrostatic Fume Precipitator Filters (ESP)

Electrostatic precipitators can effectively capture submicron particulates in a mist, by applying an electrostatic charge to the particles and collecting them on oppositely charged plates or collection surfaces.

Fibre Bed Mist Filters

Using a dense bed of fibres, such as glass or synthetic fibres, the filter captures mist particles. The mist-laden air passes through the fiber bed, and the fine droplets are trapped within the fibers through impaction, interception, and diffusion mechanisms. Fiber bed filters can achieve high filtration efficiencies for submicron droplets.

Impingement Mist Filters

Designed to capture mists and droplets by using a series of baffles or vanes. The mist-laden air passes through the filter, and the droplets collide with the baffles, causing them to coalesce and collect. Impingement filters are effective for larger droplets and high liquid loadings.

Wet Scrubber Mist Filters

Using a liquid that is usually water, wet scrubbers capture and remove dust particles from the air. The contaminated air passes through a chamber or tower where water droplets trap the dust. The dust-laden water is then collected and treated separately. Wet scrubbers are suitable for applications with sticky or soluble dust.
